AN ATTEMPT AT DEATH ROMANCE By Adeyemo Ajaya

Written by Editor

I know I will die one day,
Be kissed by you,
And be welcomed by clay.
I know that every second cannot pass
Without you watch,
I also watch the clock touch.
And when It passed, I hope to see what may
At the end of this magnanimity.

I know it’s your duty
I see you visit streets close-by everyday
The tears, while you take,
I wait.

I wait to see the serendipity
That comes with you
And if truly you, death is peace.

Your name has caused agony
And has made a hardened grief.
Does the sky weep?
Our ‘whole’ is on you.

I know our love can be weird
I am supposed to be scared
And feel perturbed.
Maybe I am
Like a cowering bed
Just bluffing
