WE WILL NOT BECOME SILENCE AGAIN By Kehinde Adedeji

Written by Editor

We will not become silence
like yesterday’s beak
in the dim pockets of memory

We will not become silence
as the sauntering snail
spitting no water of words
above every sand he greeted

We will not become silence
in the front of these solemn stones and swords
whose faces feed on our silences
whose hands abhor our words.
we will no longer be silence again.
