LAST NIGHT By Opaaje Alexander Damilola

Written by Editor

Last night, I slept with fear
Waking up in panic

The thought of massacre
The lot of lives lost

The action of our leaders
The peaceful protest in blood

To build a nation where peace?
When the white of unity and peace
Turns red of bloody and massacre of lives.

Where is safe
Home?
Abroad?

At the sudden sound of my door, I was feared
Like mother loosing her child to fever

Arise oh compatriots
Who are the compatriots?
The shooters of peaceful protest?
The curfew makers of no notice?
The representative of mute and hibernation

Oh! They’re doing us evil.!,
