THE KING’S PALACE By Oyewole Barakat

Written by Editor

Build for us, my love,

A beautiful small palace

Where my heart shall find nothing but peace,

If not a city,

If not a town,

My soul is contended with you,

Only with you, my heart finds rest.

You being my king

And I being your queen.

Our little princesses and princes being the dwellers

From there, we can build our own strong nation

With foundation of love and harmony,

Joy and faith as the roof,

Trust and hope as the bricks

And fear of God as the cement that seals the bricks.

My king, if not in the city,

If not in the town,

Find us a land filled with tranquility,

Somewhere Faraway,

Where no one can meddle.
