MY COUNTRY IS NOT A NOUN By Bada Yusuf Àmọ̀ó

Written by Editor

My country is not a noun
Neither is it an adjective
But a metaphor of a country
That buries its people
As lilliputian molecules,
Blown them to wind
When its heart feel objected

My country is not a noun
But the gallery of armed with forces men
Who are the jailer of the common man
And are prisoners of the rocked men.

My country is not a noun
But the prophesy of revolution
Whose aftermath is another oppression,
Those who think of freedom will not have it

My country is not a noun,
But a draft of sleeping lake
With paramount holes of pain
Underlying our fake humanity.
