NEIGHBORHOOD HERO By Lyrical Jade

Written by Editor

They say a hero is a maker of a thousand stories but I’d say a hero is a carrier of a good heart
I celebrate every person of goodwill to others
We got lots of soldiers from different battle fields these days
How many heroes go unmentioned? A lot!
How many go unappreciated? Uncountable!
How many die on the line of purpose? Infinite!
I’d say the battlefield is for heroes but praises are for the weak that seek appraisal
I celebrate any soldier fighting a silent war on themselves
I’ve seen people win wars on their own, wars they’d lose in big numbers
I’ve seen people fumble to get dreams they’d die over
I’ve seen people loose track of things they couldn’t lose to get things they couldn’t get
No matter the kind of war, a hero got an outstanding reputation
The focus is to kill the head in the battlefield not to get a name
I’ve seen bad people with good names, that’s madly crazy
I’ve seen the weak being praised for things they didn’t do
But what? The heavens never forget heros of defined truth
Heros that fight for the sake of those who are looking up to them
Heros that fight battles behind cameras not infront of cameras
Heros that give more than they can afford to let YOU live
Twenty one gun salute for these soldiers I call ’em neighborhood heros
Please heavens consider me on this: listen to their pleas and accord them
I hope one day I’ll be a hero of a worthy story.
