FESTIVAL OF HOLOCAUST By Omale Angela

Written by Editor

Open oven sun
Baked beads of sweats
Strained but hopes for fun
So many little mountain rows
Hope for hope every face aglow
Continuous aches a short term result
Rest and relaxation are pending resorts
Days and weeks trudge by
Anticipation peeps for a big pie

Alas; it strikes!
Crickets chirp in strides
All anticipation flattened and crushed
And they try to act in rush
Which is inevitably useless
And they are left foodless
With no results from the farm
I bet they’d feel damned
As a host of beast like creatures
Accompanied by heat waves
Storm in to thwart and feast
On all effort of futile feistiness
