OPEN LETTER TO MY ELDER SELF By Hussaina

Written by Editor

As I think of you to be a poetess,
I don’t know how your life will turn out to be than it is for me right now.

I can imagine you to be a successful poetess and a story teller.
The one who is always busy with open Mic events and Poetry shows than a 9 to 5 job and weekends in clubs.
People will love you and your work.
They’ll see Stories emerging out of you effortlessly.
Your Poetry will sound like soft music to their ears, they’ll crave to hear you at 2am or recite it everyday like morning prayers.
Maybe someday a little girl just like me may think of You as an inspiration.
Maybe someday an old man may run into you in a park to tell you that he listens to you often.
But here I am to remind you that your reason to write was to reach the world’s heart.
Let not the fame draw DEAD poetry out of you.
Let it breathe!
