DIVISION IN DIVERSITY By Absol

I was ready
To marry my dear Emily
Next meet the family
But I was shocked to hear I cannot marry
My dear Emily
Because of my family
Lobatan, O pari!

He wanted admission
Into a university where he could do matriculation
And then convocation
Maybe because we call him Ilori
He decided to pick University of Ilorin
Where he can easily go even without lorry
He was not given admission
Not because of his qualification
But because of his foundation

With a good heart he wanted to serve his country
But because he’s from a tribe that is a minority
Without considering his originality and integrity
We were after his identity
And showed him the power of Majority

What is wrong with us all?
Our souls have been brought together by map
And we cannot run away, not even with cab
So why are we walking about with our faces covered with cap
No wonder Global North is not giving us even a clap
Because with our division we have fallen into their trap
Let us all come together as one
Because to be forearmed is to be forewarned
With division comes backwardness
With unity comes forwardness
Let us unite and move forward
Because united we stand
Divided we fall
God bless Nigeria
God bless Africa
God bless ABSOL
