THE SEASHORE – LIFE By Mujeebah opatola

Written by Editor

As I lay here on my back
Resting and taking in some air
Picking and throwing pebbles
One after the other I cast them
Straight into the sea
I look at my side
I realised I didn’t mind the tide
Before I knew it
I had wasted the pebbles
I didn’t know I was counting
Counting my years on this shore
I looked back and vowed
never to make this mistake again
I vowed
To use these remaining pebbles
Judiciously and usefully
I retraced back my steps
By looking at a new dimension
Right on this seashore.
