I WAS BORN By Ajayi Samuel

Written by Editor

On the day last past
At a time not long past
Only a short time ago
I was born into this ‘village’ and I felt like going back earlier than the present time, 10years ago

I was born
Long waiting all those hours to hear
I was agile enough but now clumsy due to fear
I was told the masses mind need grease to be gear
But my first attempt that result in pitfall leave me in tears
I was born to this ‘village’ and I felt like going back earlier than the present time, 10years ago

On that very day
When I got nothing to say
I heard the thunderous voice of the so called “masses”
(give us the power, they chorused)
Then have got to know that the wagon is driven only by ‘the privileged caucus’.
