ASANI By Absol

Written by Editor

The choice of every man
Born of a poor man
Breastfed by a poor woman
At School most brilliant
At home most elegant…
Highly Intelligent
With the aim of being the president
Or at least the first lady
Being a virtuous lady

Then there comes The Prince-Charming
Asani go carried away by his handsomeness
She is from a poor background
So he can’t be a gold digger
Because her house is not any bigger
And their finance? Not any better
So what does Mr. Prince-Charming want?

Days after days
Saying bye-bye became harder
As the love gets deeper
“What do you want out of this relationship?”
She will always ask
“I want you”
He will always respond

“Dude! You are delaying us o”
His friends will always say
“I need more time”
He will always respond

Day by day
She sinks deeper in his love
And on a faithful day when light was off
Mr. Prince-Charming logged in
Creating tension in the sacred city
Not minding her beauty
He devoured her like kilichi
They were no longer on
As the light is now on
After a short period of fun
What next?

“Guys I don do am!”
It was an atmosphere of fun
As merriment was inevitable
After the choice of every man
Has been reduced to nothing but of no value

With enthusiasm she woke up
With little application of Make-up
To cheer her prince-charming up
That their love might be lifted up
Little did she know
That she is now nothing but…
A mere object pleasure
At his leisure

At the house of prince-charming
Was an atmosphere of unusual fun and noise
With a lot of laughter
And a background moaning sound
“That sounds like me”
She said…
Entering the living room
Was a large screen
Displaying her in her birthday suit
She could not faint
She could not talk
All she could do was walk
Walk away in tears
Tears that seem like ocean of blood

“Death is better than shame”
She thought
Next… Suicide
Asani finally departed the land of the living
Leaving behind her dreams
