TRUE COLORS By Ogbonna-Eze Samuel Kwachukwu

Written by Editor

Show me a smile.
Don’t be unhappy,
even though happiness seems a mile away.
I remember the liberties we both shared,
nights lit up with the flames of a burning heart.
We danced in the streets of France,
sniffing the cool air of romance.
It was basically a weather for two,
and thank heavens I found u too.
But with vultures hovering over our love,
darkness was sown in your heart while you dreamt.
Leaving you riding on the waves of loneliness
In a heart filled with emptiness.
Appearance they say is decieving
but every time u are in my sights,
I see your true color shining in the dark.
Don’t be afraid to let them show.
You are perfect just the way you are.
Your true color is beautiful,
just like a rainbow.
