I AM NOT LETTING GO By Agbekorede Victor

Written by Editor

Where are we?
How did we get here?
You’re leaving in discreet?,
Can you hear me?
Help me out of here,
Please, stay with me.

The world’s gonna see my shame.
Together we started this journey.
You are my rock.
Don’t let your forbearance start to wane.
You’ve been my shield,
You are my victor…

…Were the sounds of my cry,
Still can’t believe you’re gone.
Can recall how you’d hold me in your arms while I cry,
And even when it’s cold you keep me warm,
Also, during the dark,
You’ve been my sun.

Somehow, someway, you stopped loving me,
And I stopped being your angel,
I stopped being your precious possession,
I never thought you’d ever hit me,
I will never forget the shock I felt,
Even the tears were held by the shock.
Can’t believe my rock would hit me.

What could have happened?
Could it be, a stronger force of attraction,
You said you loved me,
But now it all seem like the opposite of your words.

But I’m not letting go,
No I am not.
I believe you’ll return for me,
No matter how far you go,
I’ll keep praying for our love.
My rock, pls don’t stay to long, I’m ill.
