HIJAB By Tayyiba Aliyu

Written by Editor

You may be abhored
Yet, I adore
The self esteem you bring
A thing I can’t just fling
People may go a thousand miles to drop u
But I’ll travel a million miles to get you
For when I’m in you
I feel fulfilled
Secured, sanctified and signified.
Like a shell put forth
You are a fortification
Against all odd
My Hijab, My Pride.
