GONE TOO SOON By Julius Topohozin

Written by Editor

Like the flowers
scorched by the rising sun,
they bend over
like you,
forgotten in the ground.

Your smile
mesmerises like a charm
in those days
when laughter was endless
but now,
a distant memory.

Like a shadow
frozen in the dark
you melt
and blend
with the callous night.

Goon too soon
in the midst of promises
life bestows.
