DEEP By Julius Topohozin

Written by Editor

Sanity bestrides her smile
like the sun in the sky.
Flashes of her graced tabloids
churning millions to her account.
If only lightening could linger,
exploring horrors
deep in the deep.

At five,
The world stood at his beck
like thunderstorm breaking night’s silence.
stunned lovers lost in his lore
trod lifelessly in a faint on raised hands
stopping only in the ambulance.
Millions wished they were him,
with fame, money and women.
But if only lightening could linger,
unmasking insomnia, propofol,
pedophile counts lying underbelly
in Neverland.

Her voice melt the snow,
Demons become godly
blushing like albinos
listening to the Queen of Soul
lost in the wonder of her songs.
But if only lightening could linger,
unveiling the queen
trapped in chains of crack,
idling in the tub,
sinking deep into her death.
