A TALE By Tayyiba Aliyu

Written by Editor

Awaken by my spirit
The conscientious being in me
Like breath, it walks in me
Holding me in contempt for thoughts unshared
This tale I must tell
For its so real

A tale of two
Like mountain they stood
Breakable by none
They knew not danger
For out of fear they were born

They worked and walked in consensus
Like zombies, they never questioned
The acts of each other
This way they lived
Swimming in the glory of loyalty
Then came the traitor

Yes, a traitor I must say
For they were caged
In the most dreaded way
Sedated with bagful of lies
This changed their plight
And life forever.
