IF HE WAS BUT A MAN By By Tayyiba Aliyu

Written by Editor

If he was but a man
From dust did he rise
Full of eeman
A teacher to mankind
His soul full of light
Why then can’t we be kind?

If he was but a man
That speaks not but truth
Wallowing in the mercies
Of the Almighty
Why then do we lie?

A messenger of the Most High
Sent to all nations and tribes
Our lives he’s been destined to change
Why not join this moving train?

Time, time, time
It waits for no man
Wait not till it dims

For you may be ban
From entering the gates
Of Jannatul Firdaus.
