Poetry

LONESOME By Ibn Yahya

Written by Editor

Sitting ravenously in a corner of my room, depressed
Couldn’t bear the morose, just need to leave the hood
to a sequestered place like the wood where there is no neighborhood
My mental state that moment wanted me alone, just me without falsehood
Giving it a second thought, I imagined a life where there is
No friend, no enemy
No tutelage, no guardian
No malevolent act, no sadist
No hadrship, no tears
No one to set my heart beat in random motion.
Oh no, this is the real gloom and doom
It wandered in my brain until I peeped into one aspect of life
If there is no sadness how could one appreciate happiness
If there is no darkness how could one understand the effect of light
Oh you my friend in lonesome
It’s your dry season, it will rain very soon
It needs just a little patient and perseverance for you to flow
You want to grow
You want to glow and blow
Remember even the plant needs the rain and the sun to grow
All thanks to the uncreated creator of every Creation that created things in pairs
