FRUIT OF LABOUR By Adesunwon Babatunde

Written by Editor

Fruit of labour,
man essence of working.
Craving and gnawing for it
Presence in man’s life.

Hope still at tender age,
Ruminating the heart of its youth
Calling the man to its reward
Making pleasure a sin to man.

Fruit of labour,
All man’s work for, from toddler
to old age,
From agility to sluggishness,
From sensitive to insensitive,
From hard work to carefree.

After man has gone through all this in essence of its reward, will he
Be deprived of it or be given to him.
Heart looks forward to his days
When he shall reap the fruit of his labour, either good or bad.
