APEKE By Oladejo Hammed O.

Written by Bada Yusuf Amoo

In the early hour of November
the sky wore a mighty cloud
Mikaheel should rest, at least!
Little children want to play,
the sky needs not to weep again!

Then like the walk of a snail
the sky became clear and clearer
My mind tells my eyes
to look at the sky hopefully
Alas! Rain traveled abroad.

In the first halve of the month,
Apeke wears a short smile ;
it’s a moment of joy.
The celebration begins:
the celebrant in her well-beautified-decorated-smart gown,
the queen appeared in a gorgeous look,
all mouths left opened!

The beaming face
shows the dazzling beauty
and the rays on the cheeks
tell blessedness and peace.

The signs confirm
the colourfulness of the day;
Its sixteenth day
of the eleventh month!

Happy birthday, Apeke.
