BALLAD OF A PEDESTRIAN By Bada Yusuf Amoo

Written by Editor

I am a pedestrian,
to earth I be in sun and rain,
lamenting Aeolian
of gains I lost and pains I gain.

The sun closed like a shade
on me to wear like a fair frame.
Let me, for soon I fade;
reducing lonely like a rime.

Do not mourn my depart,
this life we all waiting for death
like a child born to path
the earth through the kind hand of death.

What distinguishes us;
you have the wealth and poor I be
and that which unites us
is death on our shoulders that be.

Life and death be for all
Humans. The hap of life is death.
Grave a place we lay still
to lose our bones to vain and earth.
