My heart beats with agony,
This nobody knows,
For things I hate I was made to love as I grow,
I adore the things that brings me sorrow,
Only because the society say so,
They told me school is the only path to success,
And getting good grades is the only tool to greatness,
Oh! the tale of grades threw me in darkness,

growing up I walk this path they say leads to success,
At the early stage it was filled with so much happiness,
Little did I know the joy was encrypted in sadness,
As I progress I was full of regrets,
Why did I leave the art I love for math?
I study science but I’m in love with commerce,
It wasn’t my choice but society gave me only one,
I was told getting good grades is the only chance,

I wanted to quit but I didn’t,
to please the choice of family and friends I couldn’t,
for every failure I was scolded,
never bothered about how nice my art works appeared,
me Getting good grades was the only thing they desired,
but I wanted a life different from what they offered,
Only if I was offered and not ordered,
To go to school and get good grades which left me shattered,

For how long will this Tale of grades last I wondered…
