WHERE WILL YOU GO? By Ololade Edun

Written by Bada Yusuf Amoo

Where will you go
When the Sun refuses to rise in the east
Where will you run to
When the soil bake your feet
When the heat gently melts the skin
When the blood turns to water and boils the brain
When the stars becomes balls of fire
Shooting pellets of death at you.

Where will you stay seated
When the Moon starts to cry
With cries of doom
You shalt wake to see
When you will be too ashamed
To look up into the sky
With blood running down your cheek
Instead of tears
When you will be forced to dance
To the noise of destruction
With pricks and thorns
Gracing your feet

What will you do
When the soil becomes flooded with blood and water
When nature goes to sleep
With shadows racing at you
When heads are rolling on the floor
Like punctured balls
With echoes of your sin trailing you at speed
Words won’t fail you then
Your legs will

I will be at peace
Whilst I cry not to sleep
Watching the massacre go unstopped
As I rest my head in my grave
With nothing left to do but to mourn
The end of mankind and his sins
The beginning of judgement and its peace.
