EVERYBODY HAS A TALE By Asiru Sukurat

Written by Editor

We hustle and stumble,
While struggling to learn,
We rise and fall,
Just to fulfil destiny,
Though the road is broad and dark,
We sustain scourge of our teachers,
And scorching of sun in the afternoon,
With loads of work in our notepad,
Without helper for the house chores,
We became more humble and endure,
As we blink and wink
At our scoffers,
We toil and sow in the morning,
Without water to quench our thirsty,
We trek and tread in this sarcasm for several years,
With hope of breaking from the siege,
Finally,we obtained independence,
No more sanction to fear,
No more whipping and wailing,
For i have a tale to tell.
