I FORGOT By Odusanya Oladimeji

Written by Bada Yusuf Amoo

A Pulse that resonate Millions of Hearts
After abundant ‘Daily bread’ without an Act!
After a Cycle of Sinister shackles that I outrun
After numerous Hospital bed I ate like a Corn
Maybe, I took it for a ‘Must-have’ gifts without a Pay
I Forgot! I Forgot How to Pray!

After the Sad and Pitiful eyes have seen
From a precipice of Hunger and Mournswept
Yelling cacophonously for help, both Fat and Thin
Does that not scare you? I only console and wept
Maybe, That’s my Piquent drug to Love and live
I Forgot! I Forgot How to Give!

In the dark cave, Alone! I saw the ray
Protect, relief the Blind and the Way
But Suffering and Hunger became our heir
Yet!, In my name, White and Black believe
Maybe, their ranting donate deaf ears
I Forgot! I Forgot How to Lead!

My Telescopic eyes like a Filthy Image
Conscience told Me, its a gargantuan task
Influential of our days, like Bill Gates- That’s the Page
Yes! Elusive Plans!, any work done? If I may ask
Maybe, a Bold dream aside a Link
I Forgot! I Forgot How to Think!
