VIRTUOUS WOMEN By Oládélé Ayò Qasoomah

Written by Bada Yusuf Amoo

(After her funeral, when everyone left, He waited behind, and went on his knees
With his hands to the heavens, face to the sky,
He said his most earnest prayers in years.)

He said,
I thank God for the women of little virtues
The ones that make us remember we are men
The ones that ease our marital frustrations
The ones that live with us in the moment
Those women full of passion and ardour

Those women we feel at home with
Those women we don’t mind spending money on

For the women we will never woo
The women who speak the language of satisfaction

Those women who don’t get jealous
Those women that don’t nag
Those women that help channel our desires

May God bless these women of sexual therapy
For they keep our marriages together

May God give us beautiful wives and understanding concubines
