BOLASEUN 2018 By Gidado Habib

An accommodating damsel,
An epitome of beauty and knowledge,
Endowed with lofty height like a black cherry,
attracting the honey bee.
Honey pie! Honey bee! Nana Bee!

Her clothings, flawlessly pure as an Angel,
she gaites like a Queen.
The Queen of Abdullah’s heart.
And her speech?
When meticulously weaved together and sieved
Is a metaphor of Zimbabwean mufti’s.

I say Great you Oh my Lord!
For the beauty you created!
of course I aren’t day dreaming,
from afar I imagine,
from which earth was she moulded?
That of clay, sandy or loamy?

Her words suit and calm like sea breeze,
piercing the heart and strengthening the memory,
sermonizing and giving hope to the needy,
she is no different from Yasmin Mogahed.

Reading and writing she chose for hobbies,
an investigative journalist,
The intellectuals could testify
to her magnanimous intelligence
and astonishing efficiency.
Truly, I wish to be her tutee,
only after a password from her hubby.

AlhamduliLah for April first,
the blessed day she begins to prepare her nest,
and wave to the singles and ‘singlets’.
she is the happiest
Gracious to Allah for her Dearest,
May Allah bless you with cute triplets.

Glad tidings to Mr AbdulLah,
you are indeed a pious slave of Allah,
to have gotten righteous Aisha,
she is to you hulwah,
hold her hands, its halaal,
roam in her heart, its for you.
care for her, she is your mahbuub.
don’t doubt, she is a waluud.
may Allah grant you nuquud.

For Aisha Harun and Abdullah Oduwole
