HONOURABLE MEN By Ocheja Godwin Philip

Written by Editor

My honourable friends
Taramasalata or kebab
We do not know
Kedgeree or calvados
We do not know
Why the burial of your conscience
You militant civilians
Beheading heads
On the altar of gold?
Are you doing this for gold?
Or for your faith in god?
Is this your strategy to plant gloom
In order to undo the people, your own people?
Does gloom give you bloom?
The creature you have no tabularasa on
You coldly slay without a single pain
The casualties are your too
As we await the hammer of justice from above
To like a hat, on your head dove
