PHARAOH OF THIS GENERATION By Luqman Alawode

Written by Bada Yusuf Amoo

Pharaoh of this generation is he:
Who subject the societal norms to loss
Derive pleasure from the pains of others
Sarcastically lure people to bad
For his selfish fortune
The fortune of eternal wastage
That lasted only a while

Pharaoh of this generation is:
The saint, killer of truth
The pious, lover of bribe
The benefactor, founder of poverty
A faithful liar
The devoted devil disciple

Pharaoh of this generation is he:
Who knock down the economy
For his personal gain
Taking import as a means of survival
Bargain for dollars of the white
At the detriment of Naira of the black
Subjecting it to stupor

Pharaoh of this generation is he:
Who embittered the peoples honey
Antiestablishment elite
That destroys heritage in quest for power
Taking public office as a money ritual
Looking down on people like riff-raff
Intoxicated by a short while opportunity

Pharaoh of this generation is he:
Who roam around the street
An able bodied adult
That has no future ambition
Waiting endlessly on satanic leaders
Thereby becoming agent of destruction
Mindless of posterity

Pharaoh of this generation is he:
Who advocate for peace in public
And support violence in private
Those that says YES when they mean NO
The backbiters and economic frustrators
Who call black white and white black
The devil in disguise

Pharaoh of this generation is he:
Who loot the public fund
Building heaven for his children on earth
Making life miserable for the less privileged
Taking advantage of societal instability
Blindfolded the economy
An aggressive pilferer
