CATAPULT OF PEACE By Luqman Alawode

Written by Bada Yusuf Amoo

Oh catapult of peace
When will you be shot at us
The land of Africa is in disarray
We once took you for granted
Now we need you more

Oh catapult of peace
You once lived in our midst
Now you are an alien
Terrorism have hijacked your place
And we see you no more

You are the dream of old and young
The prayer of male and female
When will you be shot at us
The land of Africa is in disarray

Oh catapult of peace
We no longer sleep with our eyes close
Xenophobia is what we heard
A brother of terrorism
Why have you left us for so long

Oh catapult of peace
Your absence has caused us a lot
Your presence is what we seek
When will you be shot at us
The land of Africa is in disarray

I dreamt that you were around
I slept like a baby
I realized you were not here
I woke up like a soldier

Oh catapult of peace
The solution to our predicament
The hope of Africans
When will you be shot at us
The land of Africa is in disarray
