AYANGALU By Jagunlabi Kodeman

Written by Bada Yusuf Amoo

Ayangalu

Bearer of melody

Champion of rhythmic rattling

Hidden tales in leather woven treasures

My legs are battle ready.

Ayangalu

Herald of virgin sounds

Mediating ancestral tale bearer

Cuckoo bird chirping in my ears

My cuddling arms rock your boat.

Ayangalu

Vaudeville of sweet symphony

Raw, mystic and pure

Awaken the slumbering Savannah

In blissful gyrations, I m your puppet.

Ayangalu

god of beats, let my body bless your harmony

Like a mother weaning a hungry infant

Feed my ears with soothing simulations

I m your subordinate.
